Leaving for Japan (a little nervous)

Toire, wa doko deska?

Sunday I will head to the airport to spend the night with the two other teachers going with me on my trip. We are staying at the Mariott because we have to be at the airport to meet the students at 6:00am (anyone who knows me knows I'm not a morning person). Once we begin this adventure, it will take me 30 hours of travel time to reach Tokyo.

Though I feel good I can ask where the toilet is in Japanese, (toire, wa doko deska)figuring out the response in Japanese is a whole different ballgame. Hopefully, they can point me in the right direction.

I will be staying 7 nights in Nagano with a middle school English teacher. She spent a month in Clearwater last year and so is returning the favor by letting me stay with her. I will be teaching at the school she teaches in.

I cannot wait! This is the adventure of my life, I just wish I liked seafood. Oh well, forced diet.

I hope you will keep up with my trials and tribulations.
